About

DunlinThanks for stopping by. I’m Jane Lightfoot and you’ve discovered my virtual studio. I love to create beautiful textiles and teach others to do the same. That is when I’m not baking or cooking home grown vegetables (courtesy of my husband), or chasing after my two grown up children.

Anyway, enough about my tribe. I started creating things as a little girl, and over the years my creations have evolved from making dolls clothing, made from remnants bought from the local sewing shop for a few  pence (now I sound old!), to bespoke hand embroidered photograph albums made for a couples big wedding day. My culinary creations have undergone the same process too, I now prefer making lemon meringue pies and chocolate puddings rather than jam tarts!

I love to teach (I taught at secondary school for nine years) and I now really enjoy my sewing  workshops where I teach people to create beautiful things that they never thought they could create.

In the meantime have a look at my bespoke, one-of-a-kind creations here online or at the various places I exhibit or display my work. I hope to have a chat and a cup of tea in person soon (maybe even a homemade scone if I’ve been baking).
