Christmas is Coming!

It has been a little while since my last post and that is because like many designer makers I have been frantic with getting ready for Christmas Fairs, preparing and running workshops and fulfilling orders! On the workshop front we had a lovely day making appliqued fabric book covers with one visitor Angela all the way from Singapore!

It was great to see the great variety of designs and styles that emerged and I know a few of those who attended the workshop have gone on to produce other journals, so there are going to be quite a few lucky people receiving  beautifully handcrafted fabric covered notebooks for Christmas! Unfortunately I didn’t get a photo of all the journals made, but here are some of the completed ones, stunning I think you will agree.

Lunch at Manor Farm Tea Shoppe was of a high standard as always and provides an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas, all very relaxing and yes the scones are as good as they look!

This course was very much oversubscribed so I plan to run another next year, please see http://janelightfoot.com/learn-how/ to check out the program of workshops for next year. Thank-you ladies for a very enjoyable day.

The first of our ‘ A Hand Made Christmas’ Workshops was held last week and we made cute fabric Christmas decorations and everlasting gift bags/ mini sacks;

    These little beauties will last for years, only I made a large one for my other half which is now on it’s eighth year and each year I have to try to fill it so be warned! The fabric tree decorations are fun but fiddly to make but make lovely little gifts to give when you go visiting friends and relatives over the festive season.

Photo: Yay Jane Lightfoot! This must be a record...they're finished!! :D. Thanks for a lovely day. X

We have a couple of spaces left on the ‘Hand Made Christmas’ workshop on the 23rd November so if you fancy joining us for a festive making day please get in touch! In the meantime Happy Sewing!
